Alec A. Nathan is the Founder & Qualifying Broker of Riverside Ventures, an Atlanta-based real estate firm delivering institutional-quality, analytics-driven services to sub-institutional clients. He leads the firm’s focus on value-add residential real estate opportunities, including multifamily communities, single-family rental (SFR) portfolios, and affordable housing projects in the Atlanta area. In addition to brokerage, Alec provides strategic advisory services to select clients; recent engagements include consulting for a property technology firm on adaptive reuse of hotels into apartment communities and advising an emerging residential asset management startup on its investment strategy. Alec’s approach is rooted in rigorous data analytics and institutional best practices, ensuring that sub-institutional investors receive the same caliber of insight and service typically reserved for large institutional investors.
Prior to founding Riverside Ventures in 2025, Alec spent nearly six years at Sylvan Road Capital, a private equity real estate investment firm specializing in single-family rentals. He rose from an intern position to Executive Director of Data Strategy & Analytics and served as a member of Sylvan Road’s investment committee. In these roles, he led a data science team and developed proprietary analytics models and improved the underwriting for a single-family rental portfolio exceeding $1 billion in value. This experience honed his ability to apply data-driven decision-making to real estate and informed the institutional-quality processes he employs at Riverside. He is still an employee of Sylvan Road. Alec holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting (with a minor in Resource Economics) from the University of Georgia and is a licensed real estate broker in the state of Georgia.
In his free time, Alec is an avid runner, having completed five marathons to date. He loves to read, travel, and spend time with his wife and their dog. Alec is a die-hard Georgia Football fan and attends several games each year.
